If you are examining and reevaluating your personal budget, don’t you think state government should be doing the same? We think so.

Arizonans In Action today issued Freedom of Information requests to the Arizona Department of Administration and 9 other exempted agencies seeking information on open and sole source government contracts that the state has. Specifically, we are interested in contract information where state government agencies are requesting goods or services from contractors or suppliers.

Why? Well, simply, we want to be sure our tax dollars are being used efficiently, effectively, and that government is being held accountable to taxpayers who are funding all of these projects.

We will be putting together a report detailing our findings once our project is complete. But…
